Delta Govt to Enforce Movement Restriction for on July 26

The Delta State Government has announced a restriction of movement across the state on Saturday, July 26, 2025, as part of its monthly environmental sanitation exercise.

According to a statement released by the Ministry of Information on Wednesday, July 23, the restriction will be in effect from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. The public is expected to participate fully by clearing overgrown weeds, desilting drains, and cleaning their surroundings.

The Commissioner for Environment, Mr. Ejiro Jamani, along with local government officials and stakeholders, will supervise the exercise. Waste generated during the cleanup will be evacuated by the Delta State Waste Management Board and relevant local authorities.

Defaulters risk prosecution before mobile magistrate courts, the government warned.
