Delta CSOs Endorse Senator Onowakpo for Developmental Efforts

A coalition of civil society organisations in Delta State has backed Senator Joel Thomas Onowakpo, commending his contributions to regional development in the Delta South Senatorial District.

The endorsement followed a meeting in Warri where the groups assessed oil company operations and the application of local content policies. Senator Onowakpo was recognised for initiating visible projects across the eight local government areas he represents.

Professor Awaah Nelson, representing the coalition of CSOs, said Onowakpo’s track record in office stems from a blend of strong character and capacity. He urged other public officials to adopt similar approaches grounded in competence and community engagement.

The organisations urged the South-South Development Commission to focus on infrastructure, accountability, and projects that address local needs.
