Defense Space School Begins Operations in Orogun

Defense Space School, Orogun

The Defense Space Administration (DSA) has officially commenced operations at the Defense Space School in Orogun, Delta State.

The institution began its 2026 academic session on Monday, May 11, with a mandate to train personnel of the Armed Forces and other security agencies in space science, technology development, intelligence systems, and strategic defence management.

The inauguration ceremony, held in Orogun, had in attendance the Chief of Defence Space Administration, Major General Philip Ogochukwu Ilodibia.

Reacting to the development, Chief Do-Good O. Efe-Nogo JP, the Onotu-Uku of Orogun Kingdom and a United States Army veteran, said the establishment of the school marks a significant milestone for the community.

He also commended Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, CFR, for his role in attracting and supporting the siting of the institution in Orogun, noting that the project would bring lasting value and development to the kingdom.
