Ajibade Signs for PSG on Three-Year Deal

Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade has signed for Paris Saint-Germain Féminines in a deal running until June 2027. She joins compatriot Jennifer Echegini at the French club after leaving Atletico Madrid Femenino.

Ajibade called the transfer a major step in her career, saying she is ready to give her best to win titles with PSG and inspire young footballers in Nigeria and beyond.

At Atletico Madrid, the forward scored 40 goals in 139 matches, winning the 2021 Spanish Super Cup and the 2023 Copa de la Reina. She also registered eight goals and three assists in the just-concluded season.

Her move follows Nigeria’s record-extending 10th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations triumph, where she was voted Player of the Tournament. Ajibade has also featured at the FIFA Women’s World Cup and the Olympic Games.
