Agbateyiniro Hits Ground Running on First Day In Office, Tours Markets

As HPM formally hands reigns of Council to him

Isaac Weyinmi Agbateyiniro, Chairman, Warri South Local Government Area spared no day after his inauguration ceremony in Asaba yesterday and successful handover ceremony earlier today at the Council Secretariat before embarking on his duty to the people as council boss, Warri Sentinel has learnt. 

His first official assignment was an assessment tour of all the major markets in Warri South Local Government Area as part of his campaign promises during the July 13, 2024 LG Polls. 

His first stop was Igbudu market, where a fire incident had occurred early this July. He assured the traders of his commitment and support towards the affected traders. 

The Warri South Council Boss also visited Pessu market, Ugbuwangue, Okere, Main market, Mciver market, Bolokor Market and Ubeji Market where he informed traders that he would meet with market executive to familiarize himself with them and discuss ways to improve their trading conditions within the Local Government. 

Earlier, the Head of Personal Management of the Warri South LGA, Mr. Austin Akaeze handed over “assets and liabilities” of the council to the new chairman who was accompanied by his Vice, Hon. Kingsley Edafiadjebre, Mr. Johnson Agbeyegbe, Chairman PDP Warri South, political associates, aides as well as friends and well wishers.
