Actress Doris Ogala Demands ₦1bn Over Alleged Breach of Promise
Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has demanded ₦1 billion in damages from Lagos cleric Pastor Chris Okafor, citing an alleged breach of promise to marry. The demand was issued through her lawyers, who gave the cleric 21 days to respond.
Ogala claims the relationship began in 2017 and involved repeated assurances of marriage, supported by family introductions and shared engagements. Her legal team says evidence exists to back her claims, including messages, media files and financial records.
The dispute intensified after Pastor Okafor announced his engagement to another woman. Ogala’s lawyers argue the development caused emotional distress, financial loss and reputational harm, warning that court action will follow if the matter is not settled.
