Delta APC Ward 1 Crisis: Three Members for Suspended for Misconduct

Delta APC Suspends Three Members for Misconduct

The Delta State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has suspended three Ward 1 members in Umutu over misconduct and breach of party rules. The action followed a ward executives’ meeting held on August 14.

The suspended members allegedly participated in a political meeting in Asaba where endorsements were made without proper clearance. Party leaders said the actions amounted to impersonation and disregard for internal procedures.

Ward leader Onotu Henry Okechukwu said the party must uphold its constitution and ensure discipline among members. He pledged loyalty to Chief (Mrs.) Almona Isei in Ukwani LGA and highlighted Senator Ovie Omo-Agege’s continued influence in Delta politics.

Former lawmaker Paul Okpue backed the decision, insisting that unity and credibility can only be preserved if members operate strictly within party structures.
