FG Begins Construction of Second Niger Bridge Access Road
The Federal Government has commenced construction of a 17.5km dual carriage access road to the Second Niger Bridge, aiming to improve connectivity and boost trade.

Represented by Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori at the flag-off on Monday, March 24, President Bola Tinubu reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to modern infrastructure.

“This Bridge is a landmark infrastructural project because of its significance in linking Asaba-Benin and Onitsha-Enugu dual-carriageways, two of the most significant highways in the country,” he remarked.

Minister of Works, David Umahi, praised Oborevwori’s support for infrastructure development, noting Delta’s ongoing road projects. The access road, crossing multiple Delta communities, is expected to ease congestion and strengthen regional trade.
