Police Launch Rescue Operation For Abducted Delta Farmer

The Delta State Police Command, alongside the Issele-Azagba vigilante group, has initiated a rescue operation following the abduction of a farmer in the Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State.

Warri Sentinel understands that 48-year-old Kingsley Mordi was on his way home from his farm when he was kidnapped around Umu Ubeh at 7:00pm on Friday, March 21.

According to sources, the kidnappers made contact with Mordi’s family early on Saturday morning, demanding a ransom of N40 million.

A family member confirmed the incident, saying: “We have reported the abduction to the police, and the Divisional Police Officer in Issele-Azagba is actively involved in efforts to secure his release.”

The Police Public Relations Officer for Delta State, Bright Edafe, further confirmed the development.
