Governorship Candidate Dumps PDP Over Internal Crisis

Olajide Adediran, better known as Jandor, the 2023 governorship candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State, has officially resigned from the party, citing unresolved internal crises.

Speaking to the press on Monday, March 3, in Ikeja Jandor revealed that his decision followed extensive consultations with his supporters. He confirmed that he is leaving the PDP alongside hundreds of loyalists spread across the state’s 20 local government areas and 37 Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs).

While Jandor did not disclose which party he intends to join, he emphasized that further consultations would be held before he and his supporters make a final decision on their next political move.

The move comes as a great shift in Lagos politics, as Jandor had been a prominent figure within the PDP.
