JAMB Postpones 2025 UTME Registration
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that the registration for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) will now begin on Monday, February 3, 2025, rather than the previously scheduled date of Friday, January 31.
The decision to delay the registration was made to allow JAMB to implement essential adjustments to its process. Fabian Benjamin, JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, made the announcement on the Board’s official X handle on Friday.
The postponement follows recent suspensions of certain law programmes at selected universities, as directed by the Council for Legal Education.
In addition, JAMB discovered that some Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres had used fraudulent methods to secure approval, necessitating further verification and the disqualification of these centres.

The board apologised for the inconvenience this delay may cause and assured candidates and other stakeholders that the extra time will be used to ensure a smoother and more efficient registration process.
