Oborevwori Urges Peace, Progress in Christmas Message

Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has encouraged Nigerians to reflect on the true meaning of the festive season, urging them to prioritize unity and progress over mere celebrations. In a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Festus Ahon, the Governor extended heartfelt Christmas wishes to citizens of Delta and the nation at large, stressing the importance of using the season to foster peace, love, and harmony.

Governor Oborevwori stated that Christmas should serve as a reminder to focus on what unites the country, instead of divisions that often separate people. He called on Nigerians to embrace unity and set aside differences to work together towards national growth.

“Christmas is a time to focus on love and peace, to embrace the things that bring us together rather than divide us,” he said.
The Governor also urged citizens to reflect on the teachings of Jesus Christ during this festive season, seeing it as a time not only for celebration but also for renewal. “Christmas is more than a time for enjoyment; it’s a chance for self-reflection and for us to embody the selflessness and love Christ demonstrated,” he stated

As part of his Christmas message, Governor Oborevwori called on Christians to pray fervently for a peaceful and united Delta State and Nigeria. He stressed that while the nation faces many challenges, collective effort, prayer, and determination will ensure its strength and success.

Reflecting on the achievements of his administration, Governor Oborevwori expressed gratitude for the peace that has prevailed in Delta State throughout the year, which he attributed to the hard work and cooperation of the people. He reassured Deltans of his administration’s commitment to creating policies that would improve the lives of all citizens. He pledged continued efforts towards equitable development, job creation, and ensuring an environment where every citizen can thrive.
