APC NWC Grants Tinubu Screening Waiver Ahead of Primary

The All Progressives Congress has cleared President Bola Tinubu to participate in its forthcoming presidential primary without undergoing a fresh screening exercise.

The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday after the 188th meeting of the National Working Committee.

According to Morka, the committee resolved that Tinubu should be regarded as duly screened in line with the APC constitution, making another appearance before a screening panel unnecessary.

He added that the President had already undergone the process before emerging as the party’s presidential candidate during the 2022 primary election.
