Tegbe Vows to End Grid Failures After Senate Confirmation

The Nigerian Senate has confirmed Joseph Olasunkanmi Tegbe as Minister of Power following his screening at Wednesday’s plenary session.

Tegbe’s appointment is part of President Bola Tinubu’s latest cabinet changes aimed at repositioning the power sector and addressing electricity supply challenges.

After securing the approval of lawmakers, Tegbe assured the Senate that tackling repeated national grid collapses would be one of his immediate priorities in office.

He said efforts would be focused on stabilising the nation’s electricity system within his first 100 days if officially sworn in as minister.
