NRC Confirms Injuries as Abuja-Kaduna Train Derails After Collision
Several passengers sustained injuries on Monday after a train travelling from Abuja to Kaduna derailed following a collision.
The Managing Director of the Nigerian Railway Corporation, Kayode Opeifa, confirmed the development, stating that the incident occurred near Asham.
According to Opeifa, no fatalities were recorded at the time of filing the report, and injured passengers have been transported back to the Idu train station for medical attention.
He added that the NRC has launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the incident.
