Tinubu to Honour NDDC Boss Ogbuku With National Award

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will on December 7 honour the Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, with a national award recognising his efforts in infrastructure delivery and regional development. The award will be presented at the Nigeria Excellence Awards in Public Service (NEAPS) scheduled to hold at the State House Conference Centre, Abuja.

The notification of Ogbuku’s nomination came through an official letter signed by Mohammed Sanusi Danjuma, Permanent Secretary, General Services Office, for the Secretary to the Government of the Federation. NEAPS is organised by The Best Strategic (TBS) Media in partnership with the OSGF, and President Tinubu is expected to personally hand over the award.

This recognition follows the President’s earlier commendation of the NDDC’s leadership during the Niger Delta Stakeholders Summit in Port Harcourt on July 12, 2024, where he acknowledged the Commission’s renewed focus and collective drive for development in the oil-rich region.

Since assuming office, Ogbuku has overseen various projects targeted at boosting infrastructure and improving living conditions across Niger Delta communities, including ongoing works on strategic roads, bridges, and social development initiatives.
