Suspects Linked to Anambra Lawmaker’s Murder Escape Custody
The Anambra State Police Command has confirmed that two suspects, linked to the murder of Justice Azuka, a member of the State House of Assembly, have escaped from custody.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, February 18, police spokesperson, Tochukwu Ikenga revealed that the two suspects, who were assisting authorities in the investigation, fled while being escorted for an operation aimed at apprehending a vehicle receiver linked to the criminal gang.
Ikenga said that during the operation, the receiver was arrested, and two vehicles, believed to have been stolen from the public, were recovered. However, the two suspects managed to escape.
