State Government Urge Delta Youths to Join the Nigerian Army
The Delta State Government has once again urged qualified youths to apply for the Nigerian Army 91 Regular Recruits Intake (RRI), describing the programme as a credible route to stable employment. This was disclosed in a statement by the Director-General of the Delta State Bureau for Orientation and Communications, Dr. Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe.
According to the statement, the online application opened on March 30 and will close on May 17, 2026. Interested candidates are advised to register through the official Nigerian Army recruitment portal within the specified timeframe, ensuring they meet all outlined requirements.
Applicants must be single Nigerian citizens by birth, medically, physically, and psychologically fit, and free from any criminal record. Male candidates must be at least 1.68 metres tall, while females must be a minimum of 1.65 metres. Non-trades applicants should be between 18 and 22 years, while trades applicants must not exceed 26 years by December 30, 2026. The government emphasized that military service is a paid and pensionable career and assured applicants of support through designated help desk lines for guidance and assistance.
