Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan Files Petition Against Senate President Akpabio
Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan has submitted a formal petition to the Senate, accusing Senate President Godswill Akpabio of sexual harassment, obstruction of legislative duties, and abuse of office.

The petition, presented under Order 40, was referred to the Senate’s Committee on Ethics, Privileges, and Public Petitions for further investigation on Wednesday, March 5 during its plenary.

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan representing Kogi Federal Constituency had accused the Senate President of sexual assault and infringement of rights citing the Order 10 on Arise TV on Thursday, February 27.

According to Senate rules, a petition must be submitted by a senator, with their name clearly stated at the beginning. The committee is now tasked with reviewing the allegations of misconduct and potential violations of Senate procedures.
