Senate Committee Begins Oversight Visit to NCDMB in Bayelsa

The Senate Committee on Local Content, led by its Chairman, Senator Joel-Onowakpo Thomas, has begun an oversight visit to the headquarters of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.

The visit, aimed at strengthening legislative oversight and assessing the implementation of the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry Content Development (NOGICD) Act, was confirmed in an official statement released Thursday via the Board’s X (formerly Twitter) account.

NCDMB Executive Secretary, Engr. Felix Omatsola Ogbe, along with top management staff, is hosting the delegation at the Nigerian Content Tower’s Conference Hall.

As part of the engagement, Alhaji Abdumalik Halilu, Director of Capacity Building at NCDMB, delivered a detailed presentation on the Board’s programs and impact. In response, Senator Thomas commended the Board’s efforts and reiterated the Senate’s commitment to ensuring effective local content development across Nigeria’s oil and gas sector.

Engr. Ogbe formally welcomed the lawmakers and reaffirmed the Board’s dedication to deepening Nigerian participation in the industry.
