Reyenieju Named New DUG National Chairman

The Delta Unity Group (DUG) has announced new leadership following the voluntary resignation of Chief Clement Ofuani as national chairman. His departure paved the way for the unanimous nomination of Rt. Hon. Daniel Reyenieju after wide consultations.

Also selected was Hon. Fred Ofume, a former chairman of Ika South Local Government Council and current Senior Legislative Aide to the Senate President, who now serves as National Secretary, taking over from Comrade Michael Akpobire.

In a statement, National Publicity Secretary Sir Sunny Areh said more changes will soon be made within the national executive to strengthen the organisation and improve internal coordination.

He acknowledged the contributions of Ofuani and Akpobire, adding that the inauguration date for the new officers will be announced soon.
