Portable Faces Multiple Criminal Charges After Viral Arrest Video

Controversial singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has been arraigned on a nine-count criminal charge at the Federal High Court sitting in Ota, Ogun State.

The arraignment took place on Monday following his arrest by the Ogun State Police Command. Police spokesperson Oluseyi Babaseyi confirmed that the charges include assault, theft, causing bodily harm, and resisting lawful arrest.

The court appearance came a day after a video of the artiste in police custody went viral on social media, sparking widespread reactions. The arrest is reportedly linked to a complaint lodged by his estranged partner, Ashabi Simple.

According to the prosecution, Portable allegedly attacked Ashabi alongside some police officers and other individuals during an incident at his bar located in the Iyana Ilogbo area of Ogun State on New Year’s Day.
