Popular Native Doctor ‘E de play, e de show’ Arrested for Ritual Killings
Operatives of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) have arrested Levi Obieze, a well-known native doctor popularly referred to as ‘E de play, e de show,’ in connection with multiple serious crimes, including abduction, kidnapping, and ritual killings. The Enugu State Police Command had been actively searching for Obieze following his alleged involvement in these heinous acts.
The Comptroller General of the Nigeria Immigration Service, Kemi Nandap, confirmed the arrest on Thursday in an official statement. According to Nandap, Obieze was apprehended by vigilant officers of the Lagos State Border Patrol Command at the Gbaji checkpoint along Badagry-Seme Road while attempting to flee the country on a motorcycle.
Obieze, a resident of Umuojor village in Isiagu Community, Enugu State, is alleged to have kidnapped a 13-year-old girl earlier this week. Disturbing videos circulating online show widespread panic in the community after two decomposing bodies of pregnant women were discovered in a soakaway pit at the native doctor’s residence. Another video captured enraged community members dragging and parading Obieze naked following the grisly discovery.
The native doctor was known for his flamboyant lifestyle, frequently displaying his wealth publicly through extravagant money spraying at events. Reports indicate he fled with his four wives before being captured by immigration officials.
The Nigeria Immigration Service has stated that Obieze has admitted to the alleged crimes and is currently in custody pending further investigation and prosecution.
