Popular Commercial Bank Set to Open Branch in Warri
Ubeji Community in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State will become the latest community in Warri South to host a commercial bank according to a letter from the Warri South Local Government Council which was sighted by Warri Sentinel News.
Wema Bank, a leading commercial bank in Nigeria has concluded plans to site its second Warri Branch in Ubeji community.
In a statement from the Council’s Secretary, Emmanuel Nunu, on Monday, January 6, community leaders of the five communities, viz Ubeji, Egbokodo, Ifiekporo, Aja Etan and Ikeren were invited to a stakeholders’ meeting to officially carry them along.

The meeting scheduled for Wednesday, January 8, at the Ubeji community Townhall will focus on encouraging residents of the five communities to open accounts with the bank, alongside discussing strategies to stimulate local development.
The opening of Wema bank is expected to engender Ubeji’s economic expansion as well employment opportunities for neighboring communities like Egbokodo, Ifiekporo, Jeddo, Ugbokodo, Aja Etan, Ikeren, Omadino and Obodo.
