PINL Empowers 3,000 Women Across 216 Communities
‎Pipeline Infrastructure Nigeria Limited (PINL) has empowered 3,000 women across its 216 host communities in Rivers State, Bayelsa State, Imo State and Abia State through a business support scheme.
The private security firm in charge of protecting the Trans Niger Pipeline (TNP) and the Eastern Gas Network (EGN) presented cheques ranging from N250,000 to N1 million to beneficiaries to support their businesses and improve their earnings.
Speaking after the presentation of cheques during the company’s monthly stakeholders’ engagement in Port Harcourt, General Manager, Community and Stakeholders Relations, Dr. Akpos Mezeh, said the initiative reflects the company’s appreciation for the continuous cooperation and support from members of its host communities.
He noted that the programme aligns with the company’s commitment to placing host communities at the centre of its operations.
Mezeh also urged youths in the affected communities to avoid pipeline vandalism and other criminal activities, while taking advantage of the opportunities provided by the company to improve their livelihoods.
