Omo-Agege Loses as Dafinone Emerges Delta Central APC Candidate With 116,252 Votes
Incumbent Senator for Delta Central Senatorial District, Ede Dafinone, has secured a sweeping victory in the All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial primary, defeating former Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege, by a wide margin across the eight local government areas in the district.
According to the official results released by the APC National Assembly Primary Committee, Dafinone garnered an impressive 116,252 votes, while Omo-Agege polled 3,643 votes.
The outcome represents a significant political triumph for the incumbent senator and reinforces his strong grassroots backing ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The primary results were collated by Hon. Dr. Okiemute E. Benjamin, who served as Collation Officer, and formally announced by Barr. Nusa Amagbor, Secretary of the APC National Assembly Primary Committee, with support from committee member Abimbola Samuel Dart.
