Olu of Warri, Olori To Lead Global Leaders For ‘Elevate Africa’
The Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III, and his wife, Olori Atuwatse III, will be leading the “Elevate Africa” initiative aimed at amplifying African voices in global conversations about the continent’s future.
This event, which will include prominent leaders and innovators, seeks to reshape the global narrative about Africa by showcasing its potential and promoting leadership development.
The panel will feature notable speakers, including Hon. Umaru Napoleon Koroma, Deputy Minister for Mines and Mineral Resources of Sierra Leone, who will address sustainable mining practices for Africa’s future. Kim Schofield, a member of the Georgia House of Representatives, will delve into the intersections of policy and leadership, highlighting the global influence of African Diaspora leaders and other key factors affecting Africa’s growth trajectory.
In a statement, the Olu of Warri and his wife expressed their commitment to using the Elevate Africa fellowship to empower the next generation of African leaders, promote innovation and sustainable solutions, foster international collaboration and leadership development essential for integrating Africa into the global economy.
CNN Africa’s Senior Editor, Stephanie Busari, will moderate the event. Other notable participants include Mayor Jaylen Smith of Arkansas, USA; Her Excellency Jewel Taylor, former Vice President of Liberia; and Lord Fabrice Brad Rulinda, Mayor of Entebbe. Additional distinguished guests include Femi Bakre, Managing Director of Paralex Bank, Nigeria; Senator Fanny Chantal Moussokoura, Vice President of the Senate, Ivory Coast; Lalita Taylor, Executive Producer at the BBC; and Her Excellency Ameenah Gurib-Fakim, former President of Mauritius.
