Olu Of Warri Bags International Award

His Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse III, CFR, the Olu of Warri has bagged an international Award at the 14th African Achievers Awards (AAA), in the United Kingdom. 

The Warri Monarch who has continued to gain international recognition since his ascension to the throne of his forebears in 2021 was honoured alongside other eminent Africans for their outstanding contributions towards changing the narrative about Africa. 

The Olu of Warri won the “Leadership and Community Development” category and was presented by Rt. Hon. Baroness Verma, member of House of Lords, London. 

Other recipients include; Visu Thembekwayo, founder/CEO MyGrowth Fund venture partner South Africa and Caleb Muftwang , Governor of Plateau State, (Excellent & Outstanding Leadership) category while Dr.Rex Idaminabo is the organizer of Africa Achievers Awards.

Others were Moses Bliss, (Excellence in Contemporary Music) category, Abena Opong-Asane, Minister for Implementation , United Kingdom, Sam Shivute, Chairman, Namibia Revenue Agency and Member of Parliament for Mafinga Constituency, Zambia.

Warri Sentinel gathered that the monarch’s spouse, Olori Atuwatse III, delivered the keynote address with the theme: “Africa’s Sustainable Future: Redefining its Global Identity”, at the ceremony which held at the Parliament House, United Kingdom.
