Okowa Defeats Ned Nwoko to Clinch APC Delta North Senate Ticket

Former Delta State Governor, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, has emerged as the All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial candidate for Delta North after recording a landslide victory in the party’s primary election.

Okowa defeated Senator Ned Nwoko by a wide margin in a closely watched contest that attracted significant political attention across Delta State.

Results announced from the primary showed that Okowa polled 113,309 votes to secure the ticket, while Nwoko scored 2,612 votes. Another aspirant, Maryam Alli, came a distant third with 40 votes.

Following the outcome, congratulatory messages continued to pour in from supporters, political stakeholders, and residents across Delta North and other parts of the state.
