Oborevwori Advances Delta’s Investment Push, Joins Tinubu to Brazil
Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to attracting international investment as he joined President Bola Tinubu in Brazil for high-level economic talks aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s bilateral relations with the South American country.
The meeting with Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, held in Rio de Janeiro, focused on expanding diplomatic and business ties between the two nations.
Governor Oborevwori said the engagement was a significant step in Delta State’s global push for investment, noting that the state is moving beyond merely contributing to the national economy to actively creating new opportunities for growth.
The talks preceded the 17th BRICS Summit of Heads of State and Government, which brings together leaders from Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa to discuss trade and development among emerging economies.

Governor Oborevwori was among a delegation of Nigerian governors who accompanied President Tinubu, including Hyacinth Alia of Benue, Dapo Abiodun of Ogun, Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos, and Mohammed Umar Bago of Niger.
