Nwaoboshi Laid to Rest in Ibusa Amid Tributes

Former lawmaker for Delta North Senatorial District, Peter Nwaoboshi, was buried on Friday in his hometown of Ibusa, Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State. The funeral service took place at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church, with political leaders, clerics and community members in attendance.

At the mass, Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori said the late senator played a significant role in public service and national development. He urged leaders to put aside political differences and focus on collaboration, stressing that public office should be guided by responsibility and respect.

Delivering the sermon, the Vicar-General of the Catholic Diocese of Issele-Uku, Peter Mobuogwu, reminded leaders and citizens of the need for accountability, noting that authority must be exercised with integrity.

Dignitaries present included former Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, former Deputy Senator President Ovie Omo-Agege, former governors James Ibori, Ifeanyi Okowa, Peter Obi, Deputy Governor Monday Onyeme, and other federal and state officials.
