Nigerian Army Embarks On Remedial Effort On Bad Portions Of Refinery Road

Men of the Nigerian Army stationed at the Warri Refining and Petrochemical Company (WRPC) outpost have carried out temporary repair of portions of the ever-busy Refinery Road, just in front of the Warri Refinery.

Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, at the ground opening of the Swiss Hotel and Resort in Ubeji, Warri had ordered the Warri-Uvwie Environs Development Agency (WUEDA) to immediately commence repair of the bad spots from the Ekpan Flyover Bridge enroute Ubeji to ease vehicular movement to the Y-intersection of the Refinery Road leading to Warri and Okpe LGAs.

However, In a humanitarian gesture, men of the Nigerian Army, moved by the plights of commuters on that road decided to carry out a quick-fix repair on the bad spots pending when the Delta State Government will fulfill her promise to fix the road before the end of the festive season.

Commuters have continued to endure harrowing experience on the deplorable Refinery Road as heavy petroleum-laden trucks ply the road from Ifiekporo through Ubeji and negotiate out of Warri through the ever busy Refinery Road.
