“My Doors Open For You Always”, Ebosa Assures Warri North LG Chairman, Ashima
Former Chairman of Warri North Local Government Area, Dr. Godwin Ebosa has assured the new Chairman of the Council, Hon. Festus Ashima of his unalloyed support whenever he is consulted on issues bordering on the local government area, Warri Sentinel has learnt.
This was contained in his address “to the newly sworn-in Executive Chairman of Warri North Local Government Council, Hon. Festus Ashima”, earlier today at the council’s secretariat in Koko.

Ebosa, who is also Board Secretary, Delta State Special Economic Zones, advised the new chairman to prioritize sustenance of unity, security, environmental protection, education and health, cordial relationship with the legislative arm and empowerment of both Itsekiri and Ijaw people in the course of discharging his duty to the Council, declaring that, “physical infrastructure without stomach infrastructure will not be good enough”.

He especially harped on the need to work assiduously with security agencies to protect federal and state government oil installations within the Area under his watch.
“It is therefore imperative for your government to identify and work with all critical stakeholders to ensure that the network of crude oil pipelines and other structures in your sphere of control are well protected and secure. The government security agencies – the Police, Army, Navy, NSCDC, DSS and other stakeholders are to be consulted and carried along in order to guarantee the safety and security of our people and oil installations in our area.”
The elated former chairman prayed for the new chairman to surpass records of all past chairmen, hailing him as the “most fortunate amongst all those who vied for the chairmanship seat.”
“As the Chairman I supported and campaigned for, it will be gratifying to me if within your term in office, you were able to surpass the records of all the Chairmen that had served our Council in the past in terms of physical and visible infrastructure. Infrastructural development must be evenly distributed across all wards in the LGA within the limits of budgetary provisions.
I wish you God’s guidance as you pilot the affairs of our Council for the next three years.”
