Music Legend, Onyeka Onwenu Laid To Rest Today
Nigerian music icon Onyeka Onwenu will be laid to rest in Lagos today at 2:00 PM.
The service of songs was held at Fountain of Life Church in Ilupeju, with a private burial scheduled from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Ikoyi Mausoleum.
Onwenu, renowned for her hit “Ekwe,” passed away on July 30, 2024, at Reddington Hospital in Ikeja, Lagos State, following a collapse at an event honouring Dr. Stella Okoli of Emzor Pharmaceuticals.
Onwenu is survived by two sons.
