Man Butchers Father Over N5000

A 23-year-old man has been arrested in Delta State after allegedly killing his father with a cutlass. The incident occurred on Sunday, 12 January, in the Amukpe area of Sapele Local Government Area.

The young man Success attacked his father following a dispute over a ₦5,000 request. The father claimed he did not have the money, and Success allegedly under the influence of hard drugs, locked him in the house before inflicting wounds on him with a cutlass.

Despite being rushed to the hospital, the father later died from his injuries on Monday, 13 January.

The Delta State Police have confirmed the arrest, and the suspect remains in custody.
