Itsekiri Nation Set to Host Governor Oborevwori in Warri Gathering

The Itsekiri Nation is preparing to receive Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori during a scheduled gathering in Warri on Saturday, May 16, 2026.

The event is expected to take place at Nana Model College, Warri, with proceedings billed to begin by 10:00 a.m.

Organisers described the visit as an important moment for the Itsekiri people and called on sons and daughters of Warri Kingdom, as well as friends and supporters of the Itsekiri Nation, to attend in large numbers.

The gathering is anticipated to bring together community leaders, political stakeholders, youths and supporters from different parts of Delta State.

Governor Oborevwori has maintained a visible presence in Warri and surrounding communities through several engagements and development initiatives in the area.

The event is expected to further strengthen ties between the Delta State Government and the Itsekiri Nation as political and community engagements continue across the state.
