Governor Oborevwori Names Prof. Asagba As VC DELSU

Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori has approved the appointment of Professor Samuel Ogheneovo Asagba as the new Vice Chancellor of Delta State University, Abraka.

In a statement released by Dr. Kingsley Eze Emu, Secretary to the State Government, the appointment will take effect from 1 December 2024.

Professor Asagba, an expert in Environmental Biochemistry and Toxicology, has held several key positions at the university, including Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration) and Provost of the former Asaba Campus.

This appointment has been met with optimism by members of the university, who view Prof. Asagba’s extensive experience and academic credentials as assets that will lead to further growth at the institution.
