Fire Outbreak Destroys Property in Okere Community
A fire outbreak occurred in Okere Community in the early hours of Tuesday, January 28, 2026, destroying several buildings and causing extensive property damage.
Residents raised the alarm after noticing smoke and flames, prompting security operatives, volunteers and community members to respond and prevent the fire from spreading further.
Properties worth millions of naira were lost in the incident, though no casualties were reported, as the cause of the fire remains unknown.
Meanwhile, the Youth Chairman of Okere Community, Amb. Sisanmi Jalogho, has called for urgent government intervention to support affected residents.
