In a statement on Friday, February 7, NNPC’s Chief Communications Officer, Olufemi Soneye, confirmed that operations at the Warri Refinery were temporarily halted on January 25 for routine maintenance.
The maintenance, essential for ensuring consistent production of quality products such as Automotive Gas Oil (AGO) and Kerosene, is expected to conclude shortly. Diesel loading has continued at an average of eight trucks per day.
The 125,000-barrel-per-day refinery was re-streamed just before the New Year after over a decade of inactivity.
