Ethiope-West Political Leader Resigns from PDP
Former Ethiope-West Local Government Chairman, Solomon Golley has announced his resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with immediate effect.
In a statement released on Saturday, December 7, Golley cited the party’s failure to acknowledge the contributions of “party leaders and field workers” during recent congresses and elections as the primary reason for his decision.
He highlighted his past roles, including serving as a former chairman of the Delta State Waste Management Board, a two-term local government chairman of Ethiope West, and the immediate past Commissioner for Works (Rural and Riverine) in Delta State.

Despite his long-standing political involvement, Golley said he was excluded from key processes in the local government and council elections.
Additionally, he pointed to ongoing internal conflicts within the party as a contributing factor to his departure.
The former council Chairman expressed gratitude for the opportunities to serve the state and local government under the party’s banner.
Golley’s resignation marks a significant development in the political scene of Delta State.
