EFCC Arrests 13 Alleged Internet Fraudsters in Benin City
Operatives from the Benin Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have detained 13 individuals in connection with internet fraud in Benin City, Edo State.
The arrests were confirmed in a statement issued by Dele Oyewale, the EFCC’s Head of Media and Publicity, on Tuesday, February 11.

According to Oyewale, the operation followed reliable intelligence linking the suspects to online fraudulent activities. During the crackdown, the EFCC recovered five luxury vehicles and several mobile phones from the individuals.
The EFCC spokesperson added that the suspects have provided significant information and will face charges in court once investigations are completed.
