Early Goal Cost Us Match, Says Warri Wolves Coach
Warri Wolves head coach, Aluma Napoleon, has attributed his team’s 4–2 loss to Rangers International to an early goal that disrupted their match plan on NPFL Matchday 22.
Speaking after the game, Napoleon explained that conceding so early handed Rangers both psychological and tactical advantage, forcing his team to chase the game sooner than planned. He admitted that this affected their defensive organization.
The coach also pointed to errors during transition play, noting that Rangers capitalized on those moments. He emphasized that while Warri Wolves favor attacking football, defensive balance remains essential for positive results.
Napoleon congratulated Rangers on the victory and acknowledged the lessons from the defeat, stating that his team would focus on correcting their defensive lapses ahead of their next fixture.
