Delta State Adviser Dies in Suspected Domestic Incident
Chief Mrs. Shimite Bello Love, Special Adviser to the Delta State Governor on Trade and Export, has died following a suspected domestic violence incident.
Her husband, Pastor David Love, has been arrested in connection with her death. Police confirmed the incident occurred in the couple’s locked bedroom. Neighbours reported frequent arguments, but no one was allowed into the room during the altercation.

Shimite was found dead the next morning. Early reports suggest she may have sustained a fatal injury to the head. Police say investigations are ongoing.
The news has sparked widespread grief and calls for justice across Delta State. Chief Bello was known for her work in promoting trade, supporting small businesses, and serving as a respected traditional leader in Ebu Kingdom, Oshimili North.
She was praised as a brilliant and passionate public servant. Her sudden death has left a deep void in the community.
