Delta Musician Set to Marry Three Wives on Same Day

A 55-year-old highlife musician from Delta State, Dr. Arube Otor, popularly known as Isoko Fela One, is preparing to marry three women on the same day.

The event, scheduled for Sunday, January 19, 2025, will take place at the Anglican Church Field in London Base, Uzere Kingdom, Isoko South Local Government Area.

A marriage flier circulating online shows Arube alongside his three fiancées—Oghenekome, Ewoma, and Oghenekaro—each dressed in matching attire. All the women are from various parts of Delta State.

Warri Sentinel understands the original plan was for Arube to marry four women, but one had withdrawn for personal reasons.

Arube’s foster son and one of the RSVPs, Emperor Efih (Oscar), disclosed to newsmen on Wednesday, January 1, that the decision to marry three women instead of four was a cost-saving measure.

“Arube married two women about 20 years ago, but one of them divorced him, leaving him with just one wife,” he said. “To cut costs, he decided to marry four women this year, though one pulled out.”

Although none of his wives hail from his home community, Arube’s three fiancées come from various parts of Delta State: Oghenekome from Lagos-Iyede in Ndokwa East LGA, Ewoma from Oruamudhu Ozoro Kingdom in Isoko North LGA, and Oghenekaro from Uroto Quarter in Ozoro Kingdom, also in Isoko North LGA.

Efih also confirmed that two of the women have already had children with Arube, while the third is awaiting pregnancy. The traditional marriage rites for all three women were performed last year on the same day.
