Delta Civil Servant And Wife Kidnapped At Agbor Train Station

Friends and family are calling for the release of Victor Etchie, who was reportedly kidnapped on Friday night at the Agbor train station, Owa-Alero.

Mr. Etchie, a civil servant with the Delta State Ministry of Education, was returning from Abuja when he and his wife were abducted, leaving their children stranded at the train terminal.

A close family source, who spoke to Warri Sentinel, confirmed that the kidnappers are demanding a ransom of 4million Naira.

The source also added that the children, who were in police custody after the incident, were handed over to their family on Wednesday.

Mr Etchie’s kidnap has sparked concerns about the level of security at train stations across the country.
