Delta APC: Madangho Ward 7 Leaders Seek Nullification of ‘Exco List’

A leadership dispute has emerged in Madangho Ward 7, Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, as members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) petitioned the party’s LGA Executive Committee over alleged constitutional violations by the outgoing Ward Chairman, Mr. Roland Osangbajumi.

In a petition dated February 14, 2026, Mr. Timeyin Madamedon, Tola John, Engr. Abeson Henry, Peter Omagbemi, and Bawo Madamedon stated that Osangbajumi has served two consecutive four-year terms and is barred under Article 17 of the APC Constitution from seeking a third term. They urged the party leadership to enforce the tenure limit and prevent what they called an attempt to retain office unlawfully.

The petitioners alleged that on February 2, 2026, Osangbajumi held a meeting at his residence where he announced that a Ward Executive Committee list had been finalized without a congress or consensus of members. They said Mr. Madamedon was informed he had been assigned the position of Vice Chairman but rejected it, insisting that party officials must emerge through a transparent process. They also claimed the list has not been released to the general membership.

The petition, written by Dennis Abugewa Mene Esq., was copied to party leaders including Chief Thomas Ereyitomi, Mr. Ayirimi Emami, Hon. Austin Oribioye and Mr. Alex Eyengho. The petitioners demanded immediate nullification of any executive list produced outside a formal ward congress and called for a transparent and democratic process to elect new ward officers.
