Chef Set To Cook Delta’s Biggest Pot of Banga Soup

Warri is set to host an extraordinary cultural and culinary event as Chef Rita Asuquo prepares to cook what is anticipated to be the largest pot of Banga Soup ever made in Delta State.

The initiative, tagged the Unity Pot of Banga Soup, is scheduled for November 27 at the Estate Roundabout, Warri and will serve an estimated 2,000 people.

Chef Asuquo said the event was conceived to promote peace, unity and cultural pride among Deltans by celebrating one of the state’s most cherished dishes. She noted that cooking and sharing a communal meal provides an opportunity for residents to reconnect and strengthen social bonds.

“Banga Soup is a dish that unites us all,” she said. “Cooking it together, eating together, and celebrating together is a way to promote harmony and friendship among our people.”

Organisers have assured that security arrangements are fully in place to ensure a safe, well-coordinated and enjoyable gathering for attendees.

Chef Asuquo is encouraging residents across Delta State to participate, describing the event as a celebration of culture, peace and togetherness.
