Bebenimibo Named New Registrar of Nigeria Maritime University
Dr Paul Bebenimibo has been appointed as the new Registrar of Nigeria Maritime University (NMU) in Okerenkoko, Delta State.
The decision was made at the university’s 21st Governing Council meeting, held on Tuesday, 15 April, in Warri.

Two other key appointments were also announced. Abduldayan Fatimah Jibril becomes the new University Librarian, while Gbe Tamaraudebaemi Justin takes over as Bursar.
Before his appointment, Bebenimibo was Head of the Department of Broadcasting, Journalism and Media Studies at Delta State University, Abraka.
His appointment followed a competitive selection process, and he was chosen for his experience, integrity and commitment to academic excellence.
Bebenimibo,a seasoned academic and former commissioner at the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), where he represented the Ijaw Ethnic Nationality.
Governing Council Chairman and Pro-Chancellor Abdullahi Bardi said the appointments followed proper procedures and expressed confidence that the new officers would support the university’s growth.
