Alternative Bank Unveils New Effurun Flagship Branch

The Alternative Bank has expanded its footprint with the opening of its flagship branch in Effurun, Delta State, a move aimed at deepening financial inclusion across the Edo/Delta region. The bank said the new branch is positioned to promote purposeful banking and strengthen economic empowerment for individuals, entrepreneurs, and corporate clients.

At the launch event, Divisional Head (South), Chukwuemeka Agada, reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to supporting the growth of Warri and its surrounding communities. He said the institution aims to exceed customer expectations by providing tools that enable families and businesses to thrive sustainably. Agada added that the bank intends to integrate fully into the economic fabric of the region.

The ceremony attracted notable dignitaries, including His Royal Majesty Emmanuel Ekemejewa Sideso Abe I, the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom, and senior officials of the Uvwie Local Government. Community representatives urged the bank to prioritize job creation and support local development initiatives, stressing the importance of long-term partnerships.

In response, Regional Head Edo/Delta, Akanni Owolabi, pledged that the branch would drive employment, strengthen commerce, and expand opportunities for small and medium-scale enterprises. He said the bank hopes to serve as a catalyst for progress and shared prosperity within Effurun and beyond.
