Man Allegedly Kills Son in Delta Over Family Dispute

A 23-year-old man, Miracle, has reportedly been stabbed to death by his father in Osubi community, Okpe Local Government Area of Delta State, following a domestic dispute. The suspect, identified simply as Iseleto, is said to have fled the area after the incident.

Residents said the victim had arranged a separate apartment for his mother in an attempt to shield her from repeated domestic violence. The action allegedly angered his father, who later lured him to a bush under false pretenses.

According to community sources, the suspect attacked his son with a dagger, inflicting multiple stab wounds. The injured man reportedly made his way to the roadside and was rushed to a hospital, where he later died after recounting the attack.

Further reports indicate that the suspect admitted his involvement during phone conversations with relatives and allegedly issued threats against his wife for leaving the family home. Neighbors also claimed the man had a history of alcohol abuse and violent behavior toward family members.

The Delta State Police Command confirmed the incident, noting that the suspect remains at large as investigations and efforts to apprehend him continue.
